The National Milling Company of Guyana Inc. (NAMILCO) is pleased to announce that the Company has been recertified for another three years under the International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001:2008 standard. This means that the quality management processes have been audited and have met or exceeded the established requirements for ISO recertification. The quality management systems that were audited for ISO include: management responsibility for quality, corrective and preventive action processes, supplier management, internal audits, and employee training.
This feat would not have been possible without the continued cooperation of all NAMILCO employees. Management wishes to thank them for their support and efforts in this endeavour.
ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a company’s quality management system where the organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet the requirements of the customer. Through ISO certification NAMILCO focuses on improving overall customer satisfaction through the effective application of the company’s quality systems. The ISO 9001:2008 adherence includes processes for continual improvement of the quality systems and the assurance of conformity to customer and regulatory requirements.
